  Pieces of wood are glued together and charred on the sides and the end grain is oiled to accentuate the variety of interesting end grain patterns.

Process:

  Each "pyramid" is carefully cut out of a block of wood, a concave dome is notched out at the top and then an interesting texture is created on the sides. And then the "pyramids" are attached to float above the backer. Look carefully and you'll see that each "pyramid" is a different shape, with a different sized circle at the peak. The piece reflects movement and change.

This triptych is created by gluing pieces of wood together and then the one size is cut on each of the pieces, to expose the interesting end grain, which is unique for every piece of wood.
